Abstract
It is becoming increasingly more common for clinicians to use genomic data in their practices for disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Association studies aim to identify disease susceptible gene variants by comparing genetic variants between people with and without the disease of interest. Although over the past few years many associated variants have been identified and replicated via genome-wide association study (GWAS), the usage of systemic databases with GWAS results have been limited in clinical study. The systematic data of GWAS targeted for Koreans is needed to integrate genomic data into the practice of medicine.
